DIRECTORY DETAILS

  • The National NHS Trust Procurement Directory, launched in January 2001, is designed to enable senior level staffing within individual Trusts to communicate with their counterparts in other Trusts across the UK.
  • It is the only media of it's kind which is distributed to over 20,000 Director and Senior Management level staffing, twice a year, totally free of charge.
  • It is updated bi-annually due to constant NHS restructuring, which at present is resulting in a relatively high management turnover.
  • Individual Trust details are updated by our research team with the co-operation of every Trust in the UK.
  • The publication is funded by the inclusion of companies who are already well accustomed to doing business with individual Trusts.
  • Individual Trusts and the Purchasing and Supplies agency help keep the directory relevant as a purchasing reference aid by providing Kaltz Ltd. with details of companies who are doing business with the NHS. This ensures that companies appearing within, are well aware of the quality of goods and services expected by the Health Service.

CONTENTS AND MEASUREMENTS

SECTION 1

The first section of the directory is broken up into regional sections as now recognized by the Department of Health.

- Scotland
- Northern Ireland
- Wales
- North
- Midlands and Eastern
- London
- South

Each section lists all Trusts in that area and gives details of senior level staffing for each individual organisation. Companies operating regionally take positions next to details of Trusts within their sphere of influence.

SECTION 2

This section is broken into six main areas of business:

- Estates and Facilities
- Supplies and Purchasing
- Medical
- Catering and Hotel Services
- Human Resources and Personnel
- IM&T/Telecommunications

Relevant personnel from each Trust in the UK are listed in their respective sections to enable them to communicate with one another easily.

National companies appear within their relevant sections alongside relevant contact details.

SECTION 3

Index to products and services: Each company is given a free rein to categorise their own products and services which they feel relevant to NHS Procurement. This enables purchasing managers to access requirements quickly and accurately.
